2012 China International PV Power Plant Application Technology Innovation Summit-PV Application 2012

Introduction:

PV Application 2012, organized by State Grid Energy Institute, National Energy Center, Institute of Electrical Engineering, Chinese Academy of Sciences, New Energy Department of China Electric Power Research Institute, supported by eight domestic power generation groups and PV constructors, will take place from 18th to19th of September 2012 in Shanghai, China.

Background:

With the global trend of low-carbon economy, solar power is clean power with wide installations, expected to achieve the grid parity and to become the most promising new energy。Globally, PV systems connected to the grid rose from 16.6 GW in 2010 to 27.7 GW in 2011(EPIA),while China accounts for 11.8 % of all new capacity in 2011. With the big development of China PV capacity, with the fast improvement of technology, and with the cost reduction of PV power generation, China PV projects present a new look in recent years, All the indications are that China will become the largest PV application market by 2015.

However, the uneven PV systems supply and demand, as well as the urgent needs of the gird parity of new energy, the total PV supply chain cost and prize is challenged. Now China’s PV manufacturing industry is suffering the ruffling process with the return by the end of the era of profiteering restore rational.
