BTU International Recognized with Its Sixth Innovation Award from EM Asia

NORTH BILLERICA, Mass., April 27, 2012— BTU International, Inc., a leading supplier of advanced thermal processing equipment for the alternative energy and electronics manufacturing markets, announces that it has been awarded a 2012 EM Asia Innovation Award in the category of Reflow Soldering Equipment for its PYRAMAX™ 100N convection reflow oven. The award was presented to the company during an April 26, 2012 ceremony in Shanghai during NEPCON China.

Established in 2006, the EM Asia Innovation Awards program strives to recognize and celebrate excellence in the Asian electronics industry, inspiring companies to achieve the highest standards and push the industry forward.

“This EM Asia award not only recognizes BTU’s commitment to the Pyramax and to its continuous improvement, but is a testament to the efforts of our Asian organization,” said Jim Griffin, vice president of sales and service at BTU International. “The Pyramax not only features the latest innovations, but for our Asian customers includes access to our local, multi-function organization, including sales, service, training and engineering.”

PYRAMAX™ 100N reflow ovens are setting the industry standard for thermal performance, providing electronics manufacturers with the highest throughput to compete successfully in today’s challenging marketplace. The HE Flux Management system features a new design that ensures clean oven operation, further extending the maintenance cycle. To reduce the downtime associated with oven maintenance, the HE flux management system is designed to allow service while the oven is in production.

The new version of WINCON 5.0 offers many new features including Windows 7 compatibility, dual process capabilities, maintenance manager and OPC functions. The dual process capability increases the functionality of PYRAMAX dual-lane dual-speed systems, allowing speed and rail set point changes on one lane while the other lane continues to process product maximizing throughput. Equipment maintenance reminders are provided through the maintenance manager function. The OPC function is an alternative to GEM Host and provides a way for customers to extract data from the system using OPC clients.
